We love men. We especially love men who “get it.” These forward-thinking, wonderful men who believe in gender equality, the worthiness of women, the brilliance of femininity… our struggle is their struggle.
Except, they’re still making jokes about women or laughing at the jokes their friends are making about women. What’s up with that?!
In this episode, we are fired up over this incongruence and we want to challenge the men out there to rise to a higher level of support.
We get that men and women have fundamental differences in how we communicate but, if we’re trying to improve the conditions of women around the world, shouldn’t we try to elevate our speech to match our beliefs?
This topic got us really fired up! We would love to hear about your experience with the men in your life.

Ok…..So I’ve been listening, subscribed and have really enjoyed your Podcasts for quite some time now. And…..yes I am a guy. I’ve just finished listening to #46 concerning issues of gender equality. While my life and work experiences may bring a unique perspective, I found myself being sad in listening. I’ve never considered myself to be naïve in matters of life but have more and more so, come to realize that perhaps I have been. It troubles me that the attitudes and notions expressed in this episode truly exist. People, regardless of gender or identity, deserve equal opportunities, equal pay for comparable skills, respect and the right to be safe in their daily lives. Anything other than that in my mind, is wrong.
My perspective comes from having worked for nearly 40 years in a completely male dominated work environment that saw and experienced the introduction of women into the workplace. It was a difficult time and experience for those women wanting none other that all the things you talk about…..the opportunity, the respect and right to be equal!
Your message is great for everybody to hear! Keep up the great work! I respect and admire your conviction!

Bob,
Thank you, first of all, for listening to our show. We love that!
It’s so important that women have allies in men such as you. It is very upsetting to realize that a lot of men still feel that women are inferior.
Thank you for standing with us.
