Did you know there are more slaves on the planet right now than at any other time in history? The estimated number – between 25 and 30 million. Human beings are being de-valued to the point of complete objectification in cases of domestic, labor, and sexual slavery. Children and young women around the globe are being stolen and shipped abroad in what is known as human trafficking.
Nancy Hartwell, an expert in human trafficking, joins Toni and Angela to help illuminate this massive, yet largely unrecognized, problem. While living in Cameroon, Nancy’s tall, blonde, German friend disappeared from the roadside with only her bicycle left behind. All evidence supported the conclusion that she had been taken and sold into a sultan’s harem. This experience led Nancy to her passion of educating the world about the very real horrors of human trafficking.
Human trafficking is found in every state in the U.S. and in every country across the planet…let’s take a stand to be part of the solution to ending this abhorrent crime against humanity!

Disclaimer: There is no accurate way to track the actual number of people sold into slavery. The numbers we listed above were given to us by Nancy Hartwell, to the best of her knowledge. According to the FBI in 2011, domestic and international numbers are in the millions.
