On this episode, we ponder gender. Is gender a notion that we could choose to ignore? Should we eradicate the ideas of masculine and feminine?
We only scratch the surface of how societally-imposed gender roles affect how people feel about themselves and others.
This is where we need to hear from you! How do you feel in your skin? Do you wish you were more womanly or more manly? Have you ever felt stuck with the wrong genitals?
Let’s talk about this!
In the Comments:
Have you ever felt like a gender other than what your genitals identified you as? Did you embrace those feelings or did they inspire negative thoughts about yourself? Tell us about it in the Comments below.
I often asked myself the same question about trans people. If we weren’t so obsessed with segregation and gender roles/identities, would there even be a need to classify trans people? Gender would be fluid anyway, so we wouldn’t need to put labels on things.
I would love to see what that world would be like.
